At DragonCon, there's a place known as Artist Alley. Needless to say, I spent hours here. Last year I purchased my first three comic books and spent most of my budget in this one room. Here's a quick review of the comics I discovered.

I went with my sister, mom, and some family friends on a Girls' Trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee! We had a lot of fun. There's nothing more rejuvenating than taking a break from it all.
Stay Creative, Alexa C. Some of you may know that I was originally an english major. Writing was all that I wanted to do with my life, so I figured why not major in it? One semester in, I realized how wrong I was. I write fantasy, as you probably noticed in my last post. My favorite past time is world building, and majoring in english is pretty much the exact opposite of creativity. Sure, higher up you can take one, maybe two creative writing classes, but the composition and literature classes… the analysis of every little thing… it was killing me. By the end of my fourth English class, I never wanted to look at a pen again. I scheduled my next two semesters to exclude any classes that required more than one or two essays. I avoided writing like it was the plague. I still haven’t fully recovered.
My character building process is what I like to consider unique. My process has developed since I have first started writing, but this is where I am now.
I promised in my first post that I’d tell you guys more about my book. I figure now would be a good time.
The Artemis Fowl Series is one of my favorite book series. I found out about it a few years back when walking down the book isle of your everyday Goodwill. Ever since then, I have collected the entire series and have read all eight novels. I absolutely adore this series and hope you all will come to love it as well.
So, Alexa and I have felt for some time that our blog, as a creative blog, was being stuffed into a box and that is not what we wanted our blog to feel like. To fix this, we are rearranging the lay out to where we have one page for all of our blog posts. This way, we can touch many subjects such as, paint, photography, poetry, drawings, ideas, and much more.
Last year was my first time going to any kind of convention, and it went better than I could’ve imagined. I went to DragonCon, an annual convention that takes place in Atlanta in the fall, with a group of people from my church. In addition to going to my first convention, I also made my first cosplay.
