I went with my sister, mom, and some family friends on a Girls' Trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee! We had a lot of fun. There's nothing more rejuvenating than taking a break from it all.

Some of you may know that I was originally an english major. Writing was all that I wanted to do with my life, so I figured why not major in it? One semester in, I realized how wrong I was. I write fantasy, as you probably noticed in my last post. My favorite past time is world building, and majoring in english is pretty much the exact opposite of creativity. Sure, higher up you can take one, maybe two creative writing classes, but the composition and literature classes… the analysis of every little thing… it was killing me. By the end of my fourth English class, I never wanted to look at a pen again. I scheduled my next two semesters to exclude any classes that required more than one or two essays. I avoided writing like it was the plague. I still haven’t fully recovered.
Last year was my first time going to any kind of convention, and it went better than I could’ve imagined. I went to DragonCon, an annual convention that takes place in Atlanta in the fall, with a group of people from my church. In addition to going to my first convention, I also made my first cosplay.
